New song (2014) commissioned from Sgioba Luaidh for Absent Voices, an artistic project commemorating Greenock's long-gone sugar industry. Recorded at Auchindrain Township, Argyll. The soloist is Frances, who composed the song, based on a family story of an ancestor, blinded in a sugar-house accident. Click here for words, music and translation.
